Gujarat is Vibrant

Dhananjay Kumar Singh

Gujarat is Vibrant. It is relentlessly moving ahead, on the path of growth & prosperity. Well aware of the fact that there is still a lot to achieve, the movement towards growth is on and that is why Gujarat is vibrant. Member of Lok Sabha from Kutch, Punamben Jaat saya, “We often wonder as to which aspect of development in Gujarat should we act upon? Narendra Modi ji has left no stone unturned and no developmental aspect untouched.” In spite of having fully developed Gujarat, he still prefers to coin Gujarat as ‘Vibrant’. His intentions are to affix Gujarat in the map of the world as a place which would be looked up even by the people from developed countries. He envisions his state as a global podium, whereby the world is compelled to appreciate and endear Gujarat and therefore India for its rich and successful tradition, culture and heritage. Gujarat therefore, is indeed ‘Vibrant’.

Since time immemorial, Gujarat has had the privilege of being geographically positioned near the sea. It was strategically placed on global trade route. People as well as politicians had their hearts and minds attuned to commerce. This is one very vital reason way cooperative were a success there. The virtues of honesty, work-culture and commercial ideas paved ways to economic development. These virtues were even possessed by the poor and the common men & women. The lack of funds & capital was taken care of by the cooperatives. While the poor no longer remained poor, the common man prospered. The Gujarat with its essence has been further enhanced by Modi ji. He has kept the thought of developmental growth alive and progressive and what came as inheritance to him has become the pride of generations to come. It can reiterated that Gujarat is indeed ‘Vibrant’.

Here on weekends, food is not cooked in homes, restaurants are full and hard to find a place at. This is almost a pattern in Gujarat’s celebration of its prosperity. As India’s most developed state, Gujarat has a per capita income of Rs.45,773/- whereas the national per capita income is Rs.38,084. The cooperatives have contributed to it in a big manner. Dairies like AMUL and others have brought about the WHITE REVOLUTION. There are women’s organizations like LIZZAT PAPPAD and SEWA BANK. There are more than 3000 cooperative societies for IRRIGATION WATER. The villagers have employment opportunities and the towns are prospering with each passing day. Why do you think people from states like U.P. and Bihar relocate themselves to Gujarat? Thanks to the progressive nature of growth and prosperity, cities like Surat, Baroda, Jamnagar and Bhavnagar are full of such migrants.

Yet, India too has the Eastern States, U.P., Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar which are still reeling with issues such as poverty, hunger and backwardness. This is where the imbalance lies. Modi ji would have to think about this fine balance. He would have to strive not only for Gujarat but also for India as a whole. It has to be a Vibrant India. The Planning Commission of India has appreciated the orientation and implementation of the development work done by the B.J.P., in the state governed by them. The new National President of BJP, Shri Nitin Gadkari ji has felicitated the Finance Ministers of these states. He truly wants India to become Vibrant since the Nation is his priority, his dream and the sole purpose of his life.
